He liked to lift weights, swim, hike and take his friends and family on adventures that they will never forget. He was very health conscious and stayed in good physical shape. He also worked at Anderson Lumber in Evanston, Wyoming, for several years.Įventually, he bought a house and settled in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Kirk took over the family motel business after his parents, Dee and Jean Nelson retired. He was a Kempo student and developed great skill in this art. Eventually, he recorded several popular pieces. He developed a beautiful singing voice which he shared in several venues. At a young age, he loved music and taught himself to play the piano and the drums. He graduated from Evanston High School in 1972. Kirk grew up in Holiday, Utah, until 1969, when his family moved to Evanston, Wyoming. He passed away peacefully March 28, 2023, in St. 6, 1954, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Andrus Dee Nelson and Donna Jean Nelson (Kirk). I could go on but please take my advice.David Kirk Nelson was born Jan. If there are drivers who have been here for a few years they’re allowed to basically do whatever they want or treat people however they want because UTA won’t do anything. There also absolutely no accountability here.

Yes you do have your two days off but they’re always split days off and management will guilt trip you into working on your days off. If you have kids or a family or any social life you can kiss that goodbye. You have to call in to an automated system at 5 PM the previous day to get the work for the next day but they will probably change your work and not tell you. They also can change your schedule whenever they please. If you don’t live close there’s no point in going home unless you have a sizable split. The split shifts are what eat your day up as well.

You have windows that you are supposed to work (mine is 5 am-7pm) but they constantly work you outside of it.

Now let’s move onto the negatives and get comfy because there are a lot: UTA owns you for 14 plus hours a day. The only good things about the job is most of your coworkers are great and the benefits are good.
